Suzanne Somers is an American actress, author, singer and businesswoman who rose to fame in the 1970s as a television personality on shows such as Three’s Company. Since then she has gone on to become a successful entrepreneur with her own line of health-related products and books. She also continues to act and write books about health topics.
Somers began her career in show business when she was cast for the role of Chrissy Snow on the ABC sitcom Three's Company in 1977. During this time, she became one of America's most popular actresses due to her comedic timing and bubbly personality that made viewers laugh each week during their favorite show. After leaving Three's Company at the end of its fifth season, Suzanne went back into acting appearing mainly in TV movies or guest starring roles until 1991 when she landed another regular series role playing Carol Foster Lamberton CBS' Step by Step from 1991-1998 .
